I've lately become obsessed with wasabi. Wasabi with sushi. Wasabi peas at Amherst Cinema. Wasabi mixed with soy sauce. Wasabi straight. So you can imagine my dismay when I learned that NEARLY all pastes sold as "wasabi" are mostly horseraddish and green food coloring. Maybe some mustard. So do I really love wasabi? I don't even know. And that seems sad to me.
